Reflections & On the Road Again

The store officially closed on 8/20. Then we headed out for two back to back gem and mineral shows. Since they we relatively close, one in Concord NH and one in Fryeburg ME, we came home in between.

It was nice to be home those few days since September is my favorite month – temperatures start to cool off and the leaves start to change. While home, we had lots to do…jewelry making, filling orders, and packing for the next shows. Although there were mixed emotions with our decision to close the store, it was awesome to not have to worry about that during our few days home. Plus, it allowed us to have some downtime and enjoy some time outside.

Mid-September had us heading out once again. Shows 14 and 15 put us in Poughkeepsie NY and Richmond VA, with a stop in the Shenandoah Valley for some R&R. The Poughkeepsie show was fun since our neighbors were Liz and John Gramm, along with Eggwina (Eggy’s girlfriend – although she doesn’t agree with that). Our R&R included sleeping, driving Skyline Drive in the Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, wine tasting, and sleeping 😊. The Richmond show included dinner with Janet (Janet C or Janet C-O-N) and Kathi (Kathi with an I). The drive home was LONG with overnights in Maryland and Massachusetts. The views were pretty as there were lots of signs of the changing season.

The October email will go out around the 6th. Here’s a preview: October has us at gem and mineral shows in Cherry Hill NJ, Bristol CT and Cranston RI (new location for the RI show which was in Warwick). This link will take you to the details.

Enjoy Fall,

Theresa
